Recipes For the Beer Lover in You

Delicious beer and delicious food go together like rats and sewers -- or better yet, like turkey and stuffing -- the point here is that they go hand-in-hand. We often enjoy the tasty delight of cold suds with dinner (or lunch) but don’t often incorporate the frothy goodness into the food itself. Apparently, lots of people want to cook with beer but not everyone knows how to pull it off. Â

So we’re gonna get you started on the right foot: here are a few recipes from our homies at Epic Meal Time that you can make right at home, all of which include our favorite carbonated liquid -- beer.

Beer Macaroni & Cheese

It really doesn’t get better than this. I mean seriously, if there is more to life than beer macaroni & cheese, we sure as hell don’t know what it is. You’re probably headed to the grocery store as we speak in order to buy ingredients -- mouth salivating like a rabid dog. So here’s what you’re gonna need: 1 package of macaroni (boiled until soft but not mushy), then strain the water and add ¼ cup of butter, 2 cloves of garlic, ¼ cup of flour, 2 cups of milk, a delicious beer, 3 cups of cheese, and add chives and bacon for a flare. Mmmmmm.

Beer Dip

Having your friends over on Sunday for the football game?  Perfect.  Tell them to bring the chips and you’ll be making the dip. All you need is 1 envelope of ranch salad dressing mix, 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, 16 ounces of cream cheese, and 1/3 cup of your favorite beer. Mix it up in a bowl and voila.

Beer Chicken

This should be a staple food in every warm blooded American home. Mix ¼ cup of flour with a chicken, and throw in some olive oil, soup mix, 1 bottle of beer and cook that soon-to-be-delicious chicken until it’s done. You know what to do next.

Eat. Drink. Done.
